Hi, I’m Lorena, but you can call me Lore. I’m a Product Designer with over six years of experience in the creative industry, known for blending functionality with aesthetics and a keen eye for detail. I studied Web Design at Humber College in Canada and hold a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Brasília (UnB) in Brazil. My diverse background reflects a passion for creativity and a commitment to continuous learning.

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to history, arts, fashion, and anything creative. That passion led me to pursue a degree in architecture, which I completed in 2020. During my studies, I had the chance to intern at some incredible architecture firms, including ARQ BR— a studio with international recognition and features on platforms like ArchDaily  (the world’s most visited architecture website).

I also gained valuable experience working at the Ministry of Labor Prosecution Office and volunteering as a project manager for UnB’s junior architecture and civil engineering company. After graduating, I took on personal projects and collaborated with the talented architect Juliana Mendes.

My journey into UI/UX design started when a friend recommended a bootcamp, and I instantly fell in love with the field. From there, I dove into courses, took on freelance social media projects, and officially started my career in 2022. I joined Veriza, a fintech dedicated to supporting low-income entrepreneurs, where I combined functionality and creativity revamping the company’s website and mobile app.

In 2022, I moved to Canada and expanded my skill set by studying graphic design for print and web at Humber College. After that, I started working at Zaneen Lighting, where I’ve been focused on creating digital content and marketing materials for the brand.

In addition to my professional work, I volunteer as a graphic designer for BEM – Brésiliennes à Montréal, a collective that fosters connection, mutual support, and integration among Brazilian women immigrants.
